Baby’s Brilliant App Review #BabysBrilliantApp

I’m sure that every parent of little guys are looking for the same things…a little time! Oh yeah I know I do!. I want time to sleep, to go to the saloon, do the shores properly, to eat,  to MYSELF!!!

So guess what??? one really smart and busy mom of three who was finding it more and more difficult to find enriching and educational materials to share with her children, decided to do something about her lack of time and created this awesome app called Baby’s Brilliant.

Baby’s Brilliant provides a fun and friendly environment, where our little ones can safely explore and learn without the risk of clicking on an inappropriate YouTub content. It’s an amazing collection of educational videos and songs, instrumental classical music that will stimulate, educate, delight and entertain our babies and toddlers so we can steal a few precious moments for ourselves and save hours and hours to spend time creating educational and fun activities for our babies and toddlers. In my case as I mentioned before she loves it at bedtime, so I just give her the iPad and take a bath, prepare my things for the next morning, my girl’s bag, prepare my bedtime tea and when I go back she’s ready to go to sleep!

The app features:

Movies: are specially designed to engage your baby to discover and explore the new and exciting world around them. All the movies comes with music from the most famous composers, are mostly narrated by children, helping your baby associate images with words. Full of colors and images that will make your baby smile!

Young children can also learn concepts like letters and numbers, even offering them in other languages such as German and FrenchOther movies are about children’s favorite songs like the ABC’s all animated, others are about animals, transportation.

Music: This app comes with a variety of classical recordings, inspirational, stimulating and popular children’s songs. It’s well known that music increases children’s overall development, as well as their memory, coordination and social skills.

There is a wide variety of music to choose from. From favorite children’s songs, educational songs, Spanish songs, lullabies and nap time music and even religious songs. My girl loves la gallina turuleca and If your are happy and you know it!

Night Lights: offers a combination of calming visuals and soft music from famous composers, that can be played on our mobile device wherever we may be. Each visual is offered with up to eight soothing and relaxing musical choices. We can arrange the order of play, create a unique playlist, or loop your playlist up to 90 minutes! The music is beautiful and designed to help our child drift off into a peaceful sleep.

The best part is that we can create playlists and a list of favorites so we can access the videos and songs we want quick and easy.

This is an AWESOME app that was definitely designed by a mom who understands what its like to be a mom and had other moms in mind. Awesome way to keep our kids busy and at the same time stimulated. Every mom needs this app, I totally recommend it! I really liked the playlist and favorites feature because my girl can choose what she wants to see or listen and not worrying.

The kid can not buy any new movie or song because they ask you things that at that age the kid doesn’t know, so it’s safe in that way too. My girl loves it!

As a very busy Mom who worked fulltime and raised 3 very bright kids, and is VERY techy, I would say there’s all kinds of problems here. Scientists have been warning for several years about the damage done to the wiring of kid’s brains by putting them in front of TVs, Ipad, devices. Not to mention the radiation coming off the devices. Educators are seeing this too (I’m one). Kids with no patience, no social skills, etc. Putting your child to bed alone with a device is never a good idea. Kids should be able to go to sleep without them, with a night light, a book, a stuffed animal, someone who loves them. Rocking chairs are great! You’re setting the stage for” going to sleep” issues. You’re also missing precious time that will be gone soon. Take 10 minutes and read a book to your child, sing to them and hold them. It’s much better to cuddle a person who loves them than a piece of plastic. They’ll have plenty of time to be techy later, and then they are done with the cuddling stage. While I understand you need a break, if you have time for a salon (not saloon?) you can probably squeeze in some time for your child. .. You might also make your font darker for your comments, pretty gray white on white, just a thought…

      Hi Nancy,

Thanks so much for sharing your opinion with us. I totally respect your opinion and in many ways I agree. BUT I never said I didn’t do all those things. I never said that she went to bed directly from the ipad to actually sleep. I do find helpful that my girl can stay for 30 min entertained with something educative so I can have quiet bath and finish a few things. After the time is done I remove the ipad and I lay down next to her and cuddle her and that’s actually how she fells sleep but also when I can’t stay until she sleeps, I explain to her and she cuddle her sheep and sleeps without any issue. I’m not replacing any human contact or regular normal activities with the iPad, I let her play no more that 2 hours a day with it {not always in a row and mostly weekends except for this app}, all her games and videos are educational. I don’t really think, her future will be doomed because of that, she goes to her kinder until 3 PM, then she plays with play-doh, or paint, or go to the back yard even go to the park when the weather allows. She loves watching books and me reading it, just not at bedtime, each kid is different and like different things. I do appreciate having apps that helps develop her knowledge, she’s only 2 and 10 months and she already knows the whole alphabet, she already can write some letters, she knows the numbers until twelve and sometimes even say more, she speaks spanish and a lot of English because of her videos, also recognise and name the shapes including octagon and colors. And none of this apps has stopped her from being a social and loving girl. What I truly deeply don’t appreciate is judgement when nobody is about to know how much cuddling, love and dedication we share at home behind the lines of a blog post.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
      XOXO

2 hours per day, from scientists opinions, whether is educational or not, will re-wire her brain over time, not to mention the radiation exposure. It doesn’t all happens at once. I’m glad you spend time with her at night, but there’s just a lot of reasons why you might re-think this. Adults get very caught up using lots of wonderful tech, and it’s easy to see why they would extend that to their kids. We all want out kids to be happy and healthy long term. Educating kids can be done in lots of fun ways- reading paper books, using flashcards and non-device items. It may take longer, and involve an adult, but those old fashioned things still work. I understand you may be uncomfortable with my comments since you may be getting some kind of promotional kick back? You may just want to do more research on wiring the brain with tech for younger kids…
