Sausage and Corn Kids Pasta

I’ve always been a huge fan of pasta and mi little girl is no different. Apart from that she is crazy about corn and turkey sausage so, for those days when we don’t feel like “cooking” {which is most of my days} I made this fun, easy and tasty pasta perfect for kids.

Emma and I love fusilli and farfalle pasta {those cute little bows} =D. I don’t know if that happens to you that you keep remaining of pasta so in some point there are like 10 different boxes with just a little pasta. Well that happens to me very often so, this time I mixed these 2 so we both were happy LOL.

 Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion {chopped}
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoons of butter
  • 5 turkey sausages {sliced}
  • 1 can of Sweet corn
  • 10 Oz of light cream

 Directions

Heat a large nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Add the butter. When it is melted add the onion, garlic and salt; cook about 3 minutes or until it’s getting transparent.

Then add the sausage. Fry lightly until browned and add the corn. Leave it for about 5 more minutes.

Put it away from heat and stir the light cream. Mix well and leave it for 5 minutes.

Serve and enjoy!

    Looks delish Cami and I can feel comfy using my noodle scraps and fav sausage. I bet this would be good with leftover ham as well. You always have it going on over here! Thanks for linking to Snickerdoodle Sunday!

    Hi Cami! Thanks for sharing this with our Let’s Get Real readers. This looks like a perfect recipe for my family. My two non-vegetable eaters have decided that they will eat corn and they love sausage. This recipe is sure to be a new favorite for them. Toss in a salad and use whole wheat pasta and it will be quite filling for even the boys in my family with large appetites.

    I’m often looking for recipes that my 6- and 7-year-olds can make mostly independently in the kitchen – and this fits the bill perfectly. Thank you! I’ll probably add this to our lunch menu for sometime in the next few weeks when one of them is on lunch duty with me!

    I’m visiting from the Family Fun Friday link-up! Blessings!

  12. Yay! I stopped by from Whatever Goes Wednesday — I’m pinning this to my Kid Friendly recipe board on Pinterest and adding it to my meal plan for this month. Thanks!

    This looks delicious! MY kids have been all about sausage since they had it at the grandparents over the holiday, so I will have to make this for them!

    I saw your link on FoodGawker and was impressed by your presentation. Personally, I am a vegetarian, but, I have friends who will LOVE this recipe. They have pickly children and it is always a challenge to get them to eat. Creative dishes like this always helps.
