Glittered Reindeer, Joy and Snowman Christmas Wall Art. + Cut File

I love reindeer and snowman. They are too cute and since Christmas is all about joy and happiness I made these cute glittered wall arts for our living room. I just love them.

Glittered Reindeer, Joy and Snowman Christmas Wall Art #handmadechristmas #Christmasdecoration #Christmaswallart

I had some leftover of styrofoam board from my HO HO HO Christmas Door Hanger DIY Decoration so, I decided to use them for this project. I also love chevron so it would be definitely on it too! LOL

I made this craft in just one afternoon about 3 hours the most. The result was quite what I expected when it’s on the wall you can’t tell it’s styrofoam board.

What you need:

  • 3 styrofoam board squares {8 x 8 Inches or 20 x 20 cm}
  • 3 Patterend or scrapbooking papers.
  • Mod podge
  • Spray glue {optional}
  • Glitter
  • Satin Ribbon

Method

I Mod podged the patterned paper on the styrofoam board squares and let them dry.

Then I made some cutout stencils of a reindeer, a snowman and the word Joy. The cut file is available to download HERE

I went outside to use the spray and the glitter. I slightly sprayed on the back of each stencil and placed them on the squared Styrofoam.

Then I spread some mod podge all over the stencil

Right after that I piled on the glitter and I let it sit like this for a while

Then I lightly dusted off all the excess glitter. I deed a small brush to remove all the glitter because of the spray mount but it goes away.

There you have the 3 arts!

Then I made 3 cute red satin ribbon bows and glued to the center top of each wall art.

Since they are SO light, I didn’t have to make holes on the wall. I just taped n the back and Tadaaaaaa!!!! LOL super easy!

 This year I’ve been adding some sparkle to the season, haven’t I??? LOL What do you think???? Do you like glitter????

    Hi! I know this is a bit older post, but came across it and got all the stuff to make the adorable wall hangings. However, I was curious on how did you make your stencils and what did you use to do it? Special paper, card stock? I was not sure if the mod podge would make the stenciled paper stick to the actual background paper. Thanks in advance!

      Hi Haleigh! So happy you like this project and want to make some! The process is all there in the tutorial. I made my best to make it as easy as possible, no special materials {except for the cutting machine}. I used regular card stock for the stencil and used a machine called Silhouette Cameo to cut the shapes. If you don’t have the machine, you can always find stencils at local craft stores. I used spray mount to secure the stencil in place and then I spread some mod podge in the stencil hole. Lift the stencil right after applying mod podge and then add the glitter, let it sit for a few minutes and then remove the excess of glitter only with soft taps. Don’t use brush until the mod podge is totally dry. Other than that there is not much secret LOL. Hope this helps! Let me know!
      XOXO
