 Washi Tape Pencil Holder

 Washi Tape Pencil Holder

I’m sharing my very first Washi Tape project!!! Yes, that’s right!.. I had never used it before. Can you believe that??? What was I thinking??? LOL. And guess what? I got addicted to it LOL, now I have tons of projects I want to make with washi tape and a few already made = O.

So, here we go!.

I found this “Remote control Organizer” in a Chinese store and the first thought I had was “This is going to be a perfect Pencil Holder for my desk”. I can even organize some of my tools such as cutters and brushes there =D. I chose this trio of cute washi tapes to do the magic!

I decided to place them diagonally on the pencil holder so it would be a bit different. I alternated red, pink dots, red, red dots and so on all over it.

On the wholes I just cut it out with my X-Acto and it looked something like this:

Then I cut all the remains out of the edges. It can be done either with a scissor or a cutter.

And here it is. It’s almost done!!!

I put back the organizer lid and decorated some parts of it too. Silly! but it makes a difference.

And that’s it! Here you have it! Easy peasy and cute!!!!

I have a temporary desk so it needed some cuteness and love. This helps a lot. Love it!

How about you??? Are you a washi tape fan too???

I love this. I haven’t used washi tape much either, although I seem to have a bunch of it. I need to find some places to use it. Thanks for linking up to Tips and Tricks.

Cami, this is too cute. I made a homework caddy out of a sonic drink holder and I bet washi tape would have just been such a great addition. I love this and how simple but effective it turned out. I am going to have to get me some washi tape. Thank you as always for linking up with Inspiration in Progress…I look forward to your favorite posts. Have a nice weekend!

I’ve admired washi tape for a long time, but now I’m ready to try using it because it is available at the dollar store! I’d like to make a pencil holder like this! Thanks for the idea.

I love washi tape! It’s so pretty and then I get it home and can’t figure out what to do with it. I LOVE the pencil holder though. I never thought of covering a plastic container like that but I am definitely going to have to pretty up my desk with one of my own. Thanks for the fab idea!

Really cute! That is such a perfect box for pens & pencils… wish I could find something like that! 🙂 I have that exact same washi tape set… I think I might have to try this!
